About My Challenge

To fundraise for the World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) I have set myself a very big challenge - To cycle the equivalent distance from Perthshire where I live to Gdansk. Gdansk is the host city of the 26th WSJ and is located in the North of Poland. This has a total distance of roughly 2,200km and I plan to complete this over the next 2 years.

This will be cycled using mainly stationary bikes indoors but also round Perthshire. I will post updates on this website about my current virtual location. I will also have information about my current location and fun facts.

I chose this challenge because cycling has never been one of my favourite forms of exercise and is one I want to improve on and get better at. This challenge will allow me to really be pushed, hopefully have fun and allow me to raise money for one of my favourite things - Scouting.

This challenge won't just benefit me as the money I raise will go towards helping scouts from developing parts of the world that can't afford to go. This means that more people are able to experience this incredible event too.
